Day 01: Starting in Beijing
You will be met upon arrival at Beijing Capital Airport and check into your hotel. The rest day is left free off schedule for your individual activities. No escorted tour is scheduled.

 Day 02: Beijing    
After breakfast you are invited to attend the pre-tour briefing in the hotel, where you will meet the other members of your group. Start your China tour with the visit to the world largest city square of Tian'anmen Square. Just cross the famous Chang'an Avenue to enter the Forbidden City to appreciate this majestic royal court complex. In the afternoon the visit will be focused on the Temple of Heaven, where the Emperors pray for God blessing and harvest for the whole nation. The welcome dinner of the Beijing Specialty Peking Duck Banquet valued at CNY122.00 net per person will be served at the original Quan Ju De restaurant with a history of 100 years. Consequently you will be entertained by a brilliant Peking Opera performance at the well-known Liyuan Theatre.

 Day 03: Beijing  
Drive to visit Badaling section of the world famous Great Wall, one of the ancient construction wonders in the history. You will be given 1.5-2 hours to have a short excursion on the wall. To reward the energy lost in the morning, you will be transferred back to a fine local Sichuan food restaurant to have a decent lunch. In the afternoon you will move to visit the Sacred Way and the Ming Tombs. After dinner, one hour is free for you to stroll at this renowned Wangfujing Avenue.

 Day 04: Beijing - Xian  
After visit the Imperial garden Summer Palace where is the royalties' summer resort and the lovely Giant Pandas in Beijing Zoo, take an afternoon flight to the next ancient capital city, Xian. The local guide will pick you up at the Xian airport and transfer to check in at the well selected hotel. A la carte dinner valued at CNY60.00 net per person will be arranged for you at a fine local Sichuan food restaurant.

  Day 05: Xian
Drive to visit the remarkable significant archeological excavation of Terracotta Warriors and Horses in the morning, which is not to be missed for any visitors to China. In the afternoon go on with the city tour to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda and the well preserved Ancient City Wall. This evening please enjoy the local Dumpling Banquet served at the glorious Tang Dynasty Palace, while being entertained by the marvelous Tang Dynasty Music and Dance Show.

  Day 06: Xian - Chongqing
Continue your Xian city tour by visiting the Great Mosque and the Provincial History Museum in the morning. Then take an afternoon flight to the mountain city Chongqing and be met at the airport. After enjoyed your dinner in Chongqing, you will be transferred to board onto the deluxe German-made cruise ship to stay overnight.

  Day 07: Chongqing - Fengdu
Your memorable Yangtze River Cruise starts sailing at 8:00 in the morning. Relax on deck and view both farm and village life in rural China on both sides along the river. After lunch, the ship will stop at the Ghost City Fengdu for a side trip, where you will visit many temples housing silent ghost devils.

  Day 08: Badong - Xiling Gorge - Sandouping
Today your eyes will be busy with endless breathtaking beautiful scenery as the ship sailing through the splendid Three Gorges, the Qutang Gorge famous for its natural spectacular landscape, the Wu Gorge known for its 'Twelve Peaks' and the longest Xiling Gorge. On the way, the ship will stop at Badong to have an interesting short floating along the Shennong Stream in small pea boat, rowing by the boat trackers between the well-wooden and cliffy hills. After that, continue your cruise into the western section of the Xiling Gorge and pass through the five-step ship lock where the ship will berth tonight.

 Day 09: Sandouping - Yichang
Disembark at Sandongping to Crock Hill where you can enjoy the panorama the magnificent Three Gorges Dam Construction Project, the world's largest hydroelectric project to be completed in 2009. Continue your cruise to Gezhou Dam, Yichang and through the eastern section of the Xiling Gorge with its beautiful scenery.

 Day 10: Wuhan - Shanghai
Your Yangtze River Cruise will be finished when arriving in Wuhan at about 12:00. Disembark and pay a visit to Hubei Provincial Museum. Take a flight to the largest economic metropolis in China, Shanghai. Be met and check into the hotel. The rest hours are free on your own if any.

 Day 11: Shanghai
Take your full day city highlights visit to Shanghai Museum with large collection of rare cultural piece and the elegant Yuyuan Garden full of traditional flavor. Then we will arrange a family visit for you to have an inside view of the local people's daily life. Some free time is left at your leisure to take a deep breath of the fantastic scenery along the Bund, appreciating the pleasant impression of old Shanghai. Have dinner at your hotel. The breathtaking Portman Acrobatic Show at the Shanghai Centre Theatre will be served afterwards. Upon returning to the hotel our tour guide will see you into the lobby to bid the farewell. Our escorted service ends here.

 Day 12: Ending in Shanghai
Please check out from the hotel before 12:00 in the morning by yourselves. Go to the airport for your home forward flight on your own. If you still have more time for the China visit, you can contact us for some suggestion to extend your China trip.

Airports:
Shanghai has two airports: Hongqiao Airport (9 miles (15 km) west of the center of Shanghai) and Pudong Airport (19 miles (30km) southeast of Shanghai). Please make sure you go to the right one for departure.

Best way to Airports:
YangtzeRiverTour suggests you book a taxi at the Front Desk of your hotel (Zhongya Hotel) to make sure you won't stand outside the hotel entrance with your luggage waiting for a taxi. The trip to Pudong Airport takes about one hour at 150 -170 RMB and it needs a 20 minutes drive for the Hongqiao Airport at 30 RMB. Hotel shuttle buses are available every hour to the airport at 50 RMB per person. For details please contact the Front Desk of the hotel.
