DAY-BY-DAY ITINERARY

Day 01: Arrival in Sapporo, Airport pick-up
Upon arrival at the Sapporo Shin Chitose Airport, our driver will pick you up and transfer you to the hotel for check in. The rest of the day will be left for your own plan. You can either conserve energy for the following tour or explore the nearby areas as you like.

Note: In Sapporo, Niseko Ski Resort is popular but the hotel rooms are extremely expensive during the winter time and they are usually booked up very early, so we arrange Ski resorts near Sapporo. If you are a keen skier, we are also able to arrange two-night stay at Niseko Ski Resort for you.

 Day 02: Sapporo city highlights tour
In the morning, the English speaking guide of this Japan tour package will give you a warm greeting at the hotel lobby. And then start Sapporo City tour by public transportation. First, go to visit the Sapporo Clock Tower (Tokeidai). It is the existing oldest clock tower in Japan, and treasured as the important national cultural heritage. You can take a photo with it. Then head to the nearby Odori Park. Various trees like lilac are planted and different flowers decorate the place all year round. Besides, there is a fountain constantly changing its shape. You can also see the performances by the street artists from time to time and watch the avant-garde sculptures scattering around. Next stop is Koibito Park (Ishiya Chocolate Factory) where you can not only see the whole process of making chocolate, but also make some chocolate cookies by yourself. Finally, follow the guide to Okurayama Ski Jump Stadium, the place holding the most ski jumping competitions in Japan. It can accommodate at most 30,000 spectators.

Day 03: Sapporo ski tour
After breakfast, go to meet your private guide at the hotel and head to Sapporo International Ski Resort together by shared bus. After arrival, the guide will help you to rent the ski equipment and hand you the Lift Ticket. Then, you can enjoy skiing as you like. The guide will not enter the ski resort. He or she will wait for you at the designated place and accompany you to take the shared bus back to the hotel after skiing.

Day 04: Own leisure day in Sapporo
Today will be left for your own arrangement. As for our recommendation, enjoy an excursion to Otaru which is only 30 minutes’ train ride away. You can get on the train at Sapporo and get off at Minami-Otaru-Eki. After arrival, pay a visit to the romantic Otaru Music Box Museum. It was built in 1912 with 7 halls covering stores, experience areas, museums and fairy tales galleries. Every hall is an independent building and the most famous are the main hall and Number 2 Antique Museum. Then tour the Taishou Glass Palace where displays and sells the unique and beautiful glass crafts. There is also experiential activities of making glass for tourists to take part in. Afterwards, wonder to the Otaru Canal (Otaru Unga), soul of Otaru and the most well-known place there. The famous Japanese movie “Love Letter” was shot there in winter. In the end, go to Otaru Eki and take the train back to Sapporo.

Day 05: Departure from Sapporo to Shanghai
At the appointed time, the driver will meet you at the hotel and transfer for you to Shi Chitose Airport. Fly to Shanghai on your own. Upon arrival at Shanghai airport, meet our professional local guide and transfer to the hotel. Visit the Bund if time permits.

Day 06: Shanghai
One full day is to explore Shanghai, including the sightseeing of the Shanghai Museum and the Yuyuan Garden. After lunch, take a Huangpu River cruise. Dinner will be served at a fancy restaurant named Wang Bao He, which is the best place to sample Shanghai cuisine. The evening delight is the Portman Acrobatic Show held at the Shanghai Center Theatre.

 Day 07: Shanghai - Yichang
After visiting the Jade Buddha Temple, take flight to Yichang. The local guide will pick you up at the airport and have a brief city tour to visit the Yichang Museum if time permitting. After dinner, embark the deluxe cruise ship.

 Day 08: Three Gorges Dam
Yangtze River cruise starts at 07: 00. Morning excursion is scheduled to visit the Three Gorges Dam.

 Day 09: Three Little Gorges
Take a small junk to enjoy the marvelous spectacles of the nature in the Three Little Gorges. Be back to the cruise ship and then continue sailing.

 Day 10: Snowy Jade Cave
Today's highlight is the morning disembarkation for an excursion to Snowy Jade Cave. Then go back to the ship and continue to sail on the Yangtze River.

 Day 11: Chongqing - Beijing
Your romantic cruise will come to an end upon arrival in Chongqing at around 08:30 -09:00. Proceed to disembark in the following. Our customized guide will expect you on the bank. Then a brief city tour which covers the Panda House Chongqing Zoo and the Residence of General Joseph W. Stilwell will be arranged. Afterwards, a rich buffet lunch will be served at the 4-star hotel, Holiday Inn Yangtze. Take flight to Beijing and transfer to the hotel.

 Day 12: Beijing
The truly magnificent Great Wall will be presented to you this morning. After a lush lunch at a fancy Sichuan cuisine restaurant in a nearby county, the afternoon's sightseeing takes in the Ming Tomb and the Sacred Way. This evening the dinner will be arranged at a fancy restaurant at the famous Wangfujing Avenue.

 Day 13: Beijing
Included sightseeing today with your private guide starts in the Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City, and then a visit to the Temple of Heaven. Enjoy the noted Peking Duck Dinner at a famous restaurant, and then the Peking Opera performance at the Liyuan Theatre is scheduled.

 Day 14: End in Beijing, Fly to Ulaanbaatar
After visiting the royal garden - Summer Palace, send you to the airport and see you off. Then, you are scheduled to fly to Ulaanbaatar. Land at Ulaanbaatar Airport to meet our warm guide and driver. After a warm greeting, you will take a private transfer to check in the hotel in downtown area. For the rest of the day, you can either rest at the hotel or stroll around the surroundings.

 Day 15: Ulaanbaatar - Terelj National Park
Mongolia, a nomadic country with vast grassland and our best Mongolia tours will definitely include the best of its kind, the Terelj National Park. During the private drive there, we will alight to see a rock pile, called Ovoo by locals, alongside colorful flags, which is for locals to pay respect to the spirits of the mountains. Before sight-seeing Terelj National Park, the guide will assist you to get lodged in a Ger camp.

After lunch, you will be accompanied to take in the superior natural landscape consisting of rolling hills, lush forests, winding streams and boundless prairie. Meanwhile, you will take great shots of the giant Turtle Rock standing out from the grassland and also stop by the antique Ariyabal Meditation Temple. After that, we will pay a visit to a local Mongolian family to learn their daily life. If interested, you could ride a horse kept by the host to tour around the prairie at your own expenses.

 Day 16: Terelj - Ulaanbaatar
We will drive back to Ulaanbaatar this morning. En route, the guide will lead you to visit the majestic Genghis Khan Equestrian Statue of 40 meters (130 feet) high. After that, we will set out for an Ulaanbaatar city tour to the Genghis Khan Square, Parliament House and National Museum of Mongolia.

Then, we will proceed to the large-scale Gandan Monastery with a history of around 200 years. A gilded Buddha statue adorned with a large amount of gems is enshrined inside, which is regarded as a national treasure. At night, our guide will accompany you to enjoy a Mongolian singing and dancing performance - Wonders of Mongolia. At the end of the day, you will be escorted to a local hotel for one night's stay.

 Day 17: Departure from Ulaanbaatar
It is the last day in Mongolia. Please take your entire belongings to check out the hotel. Our guide and driver will come to get you at the hotel lobby and escort you to the airport or train station. Wish you a nice journey home!
