The General Joseph W. Stilwell Museum was opened to the public in 2003 after a renovation. The building had been his residence from 1924 to 1944. Covering an area of about 4,800 square meters (1.2 acres) with comfortable layouts, the museum attracts more American visitors every year. There are bedrooms, offices, and assembly rooms as well as a dining room with the furnishings placed as they were when Stilwell lived here. One hundred more accessories that General Stilwell used
such as his telephone and radio, scriptures, and uniforms are exhibited.
