DAY-BY-DAY ITINERARY     

Day 01: Starting in Beijing Meet the professional local guide upon arrival at the airport and check into the hotel. The rest day is left open for individual activities on your own.

Day 02: Beijing     Included sightseeing with your private guide starts in the Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City, and then a visit to the Temple of Heaven. Enjoy the noted Peking Duck Dinner at a famous restaurant, and then the Peking Opera performance at the Liyuan Theatre is scheduled.

Day 03: Beijing   The truly magnificent Great Wall will be presented to you this morning. After a lush lunch at a fancy Sichuan cuisine restaurant in a nearby county, the afternoon's sightseeing takes in the Ming Tomb and the Sacred Road. This evening the dinner will be arranged at a fancy restaurant at the famous Wangfujing Avenue.

Day 04: Beijing - Xian   Visit the Qing Dynasty Royal Garden - Summer Palace, and the Lama Temple as the grand finale of your Beijing trip. Take flight to Xian and be met at the airport. Transfer to the hotel where a well prepared buffet dinner is scheduled for you.

Day 05: Xian Drive eastwards to visit the genuine Terra Cotta Warriors and Horses Museum. Lunch is scheduled at a decent Cantonese cuisine restaurant in downtown. Afternoon delights include the visit to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda and the City Wall. In the evening enjoy the glorious Tang Dynasty Dinner Show in Tang Dyansty Palace.

Day 06: Xian Continue the Xian city tour to visit the Provincial History Museum. After a la carte lunch at a well-known restaurant, Visit the Great Mosque and a local family.

Day 07: Xian - Guilin Visit the Hanyangling Museum, the Mausoleum of Western Han Emperor Liu Qi on the way to the airport. Take flight to Guilin and transfer to the hotel. After dinner, you will be entertained by the fabulous Ethnic Songs and Dances Performace at Lijiang Theatre.

Day 08: Guilin - Yangshuo - Guilin Travel to Yangshuo by cruising along the magnificent Li River which itself is the highlight of today. Upon arrival in Yangshuo, a brief country-road tour by bicycle will then be arranged. A local family will be somewhere along the road expecting your visit. For those who are less skillful of running a bicycle, you can take our electric car instead. Transfer back to Guilin. (Tips: Since the lunch on the Li River cruise can not meet your expectation, YangtzeRiverTour suggests that you have enough breakfast at the hotel today.)

Day 09: Guilin - Chongqing The truly magnificent scenery will be presented to you today as you visit the Reed Flute Cave, the Seven Star Park and the Elephant Trunk Hill. See off by the flight to Chongqing. Before boarding the deluxe German-made cruise ship, you will have a rich buffet dinner at the 4-star Holiday Inn Yangtze Hotel. Stay overnight on board.

Day 10: Chongqing - Fengdu The ship starts sailing at 8:00, at the time your romantic Yangtze River Cruise begins. After lunch, disembark at Fengdu, the "Ghost City" for an excursion.

Day 11: Badong - Xiling Gorge - Sandouping Visit Badong and take a small junk to enjoy the marvelous spectacles of the nature in the Shennong Stream. Be back to the cruise ship and then continue sailing into the western section of Xiling Gorge. Pass the five-step ship lock.

Day 12: Sandouping Visit the Three Gorges Dam.

Day 13: Wuhan - Shanghai Arrive in Wuhan at 12:00. Visit the Hubei Provincial Museum and have lunch at a local fancy restaurant. Then take flight to Shanghai and transfer to the hotel.

Day 14: Shanghai One full day is to explore Shanghai, including the sightseeing of the Shanghai Museum and the Yuyuan Garden. After lunch, take a Huangpu River cruise. Dinner will be served at a fancy restaurant named Wang Bao He, which is the best place to sample Shanghai cuisine. The evening delight is the Portman Acrobatic Show held at the Shanghai Center Theatre.
